To choose the suitable language of the movie, you need to switch the audio tracks – now, the initial movie is ready for conversion. For conversion you need to choose the format you would like to save the video. In the upper part you can see the panel with the variety of formats: AVI, MPEG, WMV, RM, SWF, FLV. By default, the program choose .avi с DivX(MPEG4) as an output one. This format is the best one for keeping the files and playing them on a PC computer and dvd players. Please, choose the format AVI. The next step is to choose a folder, in which we will save the result file, and then name the file, for example, “Shrek.avi” Now, pressing the button "Convert", the program will start converting from DVD to AVI. If you wish, you can perform one more action before the conversion; namely, choose the quality you would like to get in the result movie. The quality is chosen thanks to the “Profile System” – you can both, create new configuration profiles and choose from the existed ones: Normal Quality, Standard Quality, High Quality, Low Quality. The chosen Profiles (settings) will help you to manage the quality of the image, its size and also to manage the size of the output file. Please, take into consideration, that the higher the chosen quality, the bigger the size of the video file; also the conversion time increases (the conversion time also depends on the computer power). At the bottom of the program you can observe various parameters of file conversion, such as:
If you want to create a duplicate of a DVD disc, then in the left panel of the application you need to choose DVD player – then you will see only three formats: DVD, VCD, SVCD. Please, choose DVD format - choose the desire audio track with the suitable language – set the quality of the output video using the “Profiles System”. (How to do it, please, go above). Press “Convert” to start the conversion. After conversion, there will be two folders: VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS. AUDIO_TS folder will be empty, but VIDEO_TS will contain the following files: Video_ts.ifo, video_ts.vob, Video_ts.bup....... The result DVD video structure you can write on a DVD disc using the built-in set for CDs recording. For this, please, go to the section “Burner”. Insert the blank or rewritable DVD disc. Then please, choose in the left, mode of DVD video discs recording, and then you will see the two created folders: VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS. Now just add the files Video_ts.ifo, video_ts.vob, Video_ts.bup into the folder VIDEO_TS and press “Burn” – the program starts the process of recording data on an optical disc. The process of recording data is displayed in the form of orange scale at the of the program. By the way, before the creation of a DVD video disc, please, choose the recording format “Burn DVD-Video” - it is necessary in order the program can create a new files system “UDF –Bridge” that will allow you to play this disc on a home DVD Player. During the first pass, there is a process of getting some information about the initial video. Thanks to this, there is an opportunity more optimally to allocate bitrate on the result file (foe example, at the beginning of the film, when there are the titles and not so much moving scenes, the bitrate can be low and the quality will not change, but in the middle of the film on the dynamic scenes the bitrate increases). On average, bitrate remains such as given in profile. * Bitrate – is the number of bites in video per second (the parameters are responsible for the quality of the video). |
